Per 16 januari 2019 I decided to log out for a year, as a silent protest against heavy-handed moderation and undue pressure on being "nice" above all, even (or maybe 'especially') when that goes against rules set in stone by the original SO founders, such as "No lazy questions", and "No duplicates".
Now, exactly one year later, I certainly was not expecting the jackboots having pressed down even more. Downvoting is labeled "unwelcoming", and by extension also is not upvoting. Protests are dismissed as "negativity". Profiles get censored. Community elected moderators – the champions fighting for the Users – are silenced, en masse.
We are in the Darkest Timeline.
