I am a beginner in reverse-engineering and am trying to understand what a custom ELF file is doing with a particular file (File1) it is reading from the system.

File1 is in a custom format.

Using objdump I have extracted the different sections of the ELF file. I located the code segments in which the path for File1 is provided in the .rodata section.

Now I want to understand how this file is being used by the ELF. Is there a way to find out which sections of the ELF utilise this file and interpret what the file content is being used for?

You probably need to focus more on the .text section than any other section. – sudhackar Jan 12 at 11:56
