Working on reversing current router firmware here and I can't find any sources from the manufacturer for their firmware and toolchain.

I wanted to do this approach.

firmware.bin is loaded and mounted into seperate block devices on /mtd on boot. I have gathered everything by copying those files using dd from /mtd. If there is a firmware.bin found on an external flash drive the device will try to load it.

Can I use this to create a modified firmware.bin so that I can flash this to my device on boot?

How do I compile everything from /mtd to a compressed firmware.bin?

Can eventually use this to load OpenWrt to my device?

Flash - NAND memory is MX30LF1G18AC-TI
