I'm trying to reverse an Xeon based hardware bios. During the early initialization in the UEFI SEC phase, I stepped into some CPU embedded PCI devices initialization. After few hours researches, I've been able to conclude these devices names, still not able to understand thei functions. Official Intel datasheets say a little few about their functions, and even less about their configuration registers.

Here the PCI devices name I'm able to identfy:

  • Interrupt Event Handling
  • UBOX
  • Processor Core Broadcast

Any hint on the role they have within an ivy bridge or broadwell system would be highly appreciated.
