I'm trying to reverse engineering an android app. Unpacked the APK with APKTOOL and edited some smali. Packed again and the app won't work (stuck on the first activity). Thought that I had done something wrong with the code, so I deleted everything, unpacked the APK again and without editing a single line of code repacked to see if it would work (it should, since I didn't edit anything) but got the same result. Later I found a lib on the lib fold called libdexfix.so and I think that's probably the reason. Any idea about how to bypass that?

Have you tried looking at the logs or attaching a debugger? – P. Private Aug 26 '18 at 7:06

Yeah. I used the Android Monitor for that. The apk manifest is set to not debbugable, so I don't have many info about what is causing that. – Luiz Fernando Elesbão Aug 26 '18 at 13:55

Make the manifest debuggable and attach a debugger with a breakpoint on the code you modified. – P. Private Aug 26 '18 at 20:02

Any way to decompile and recompile only the manifest? apktool give me a error when I try to unpack the resources. – Luiz Fernando Elesbão Aug 26 '18 at 21:12
