Mar 7 at 8:43 comment added Yotamz If the most significant bit is 1 - all additional higher bits are set to 1. Otherwise - 0. signed, (int8) 0xFF equals to decimal-1. To keep the value in 32 bit they have to be all 1s, i.e. 0xFFFFFFFF
Mar 7 at 7:25 comment added Andynvkz that is, if 26 bits are 0, then we set bits 31..26 to 0, otherwise to 1? or force set to 1 - sign_extend, to 0 - zero_extend?
